The Mendham Township Exempt Firemen's Association is comprised of firefighters who have served in Brookside Engine Company #1 and Ralston Engine Company #1, who together form the Mendham Township Fire Department, and have earned their exempt firemen's certificates. Established in 1992, our association was formed to establish harmony of action, ensure prosperity and success, promote the best interests of its members, and cultivate and perpetuate a fraternal friendship among those who have dedicated years of service to protecting our community.

The organization consists of firefighters who have earned their exempt firemen's certificates through years of dedicated service to the Mendham Township Fire Department and have chosen to come together as a local exempt firemen's association. Through our membership, we support one another, honor the legacy of those who served before us, and continue to give back to the community we have long protected.

In addition to serving our local membership, the Mendham Township Exempt Firemen's Association is part of the New Jersey State Exempt Firemen's Association, Inc., joining over 350 local associations across the state. Our association also elects one representative to the local relief association, which in turn strengthens the support network available to Mendham Township's firefighters and their families.
